Freedom Now is a comprehensive program based on God’s Word, the healing power of Jesus Christ and the leadership of the Holy Spirit.  It consists of the Freedom Now manual that educates participants on the spiritual, behavioral and physiological aspects of addiction or life-limiting behaviors, and provides exercises and prayers to pave the way to life-recovery; this part of the group meets on Monday at 3:00 for 1 hr.

 ”What’s on Your Heart” meets on Wednesday at 3:00 where we focus on God’s Word, support, fellowship and prayer; we go over a Psalm, Proverb or other Bible passage and then share what is on our hearts and pray for one another.  This is an awesome time where the gifts of the Spirit flow and prayers are answered! It trains participants to answer problems with prayer as well as forming a family-like support group based on love and confidentiality.

Oct, 4th 2010 , Freedom Now Group is where the healing begins at the feet of Jesus!

We started from the beginning of our healing manual, Freedom Now, and discussed our own personal goals for the year and what we want to get out of the class because without vision, God’s people perish!

As we went through the  dedication to the writers of the manual, Evelyn Diment and Pastor Theo, we discovered a lot about Evelyn and where she came from and how God moved in her live and inspired her to compose the Freedom Now Program.  Pastor Theo gave a pastoral perspective on the content and power of God that he has seen move in participants lives.  This manual is an awesome ministry tool that is focused on healing the entire person:  body, soul and spirit.  The walking free rate of participants who are faithful to the program for one year is 86%!

Today the Freedom Now class covered ways that participants can take steps in meeting unmet needs that have caused past issues in their lives.  We also brainstormed about healthy ways to build stucture including daily enjoyable activities in order to build a sense of predictability and safety.  We had a first-time participant who was new to town and very distresssed.  He needed to find a payee and a home.  We prayed with him, and were able to refer him to a partnering agency that set him up with a payee.  We also referred him to a clean and sober living residence.  He later came in and said he lost his only money, and one of the class members said they found it.  He was elated, and new that God truely had led him to Our Daily bread Ministries.  He expressed his heartfelt thankfulness for the program, and eagerly volunteered to clean up after the meal.
