Feeding the Hungry 9/24/10

Our Daily Bread Ministries is meeting the need and feeding the hungry in Del Norte County.  While the dinner entree filled the physical need, the Gospel service filled the spiritual needs for all those who came hungry.  A delicious beef goulash, tempera zuchini, fruit jello, french bread and salad was served along with God’s Word…the Bread of Life!  One of our clients who has pursuing the Lord vigerously and has attended all our classes gave a powerful message that was recieved by all his peers.  It is such a pleasure and tremendous testimony to see those we have ministered to rise up and minister to others with a message of hope they can relate to. 97 meals were served, and a good time was had by all.  Thanks to all our partners for meeting the growing need in Del Norte county. Feeding the Hungry 9/22/10

Feeding the hungry this wednesday consisted of a hot nutritious meal and foot stompin worship!  We started the evening with a prayer circle of over thirty guests and volunteers.  Every one was ready for a good time as we opened the doors for many who feel they have been shut out off from society: veterans, those with mental health isssues, travelers, elderly who can not afford medical costs and some who are struggling to meet the bills to keep their homes.  We offer a warm, inviting environment where the Love of Jesus is the main course!  The “Little Brothers” rocked the house with worship music that had our quests dancing and praising the Lord. We had guest Preachers from Cave Junction, Pastor Tim and Vicky from Mission Posssible, who felt God had led them here to be used as vessels to impart Jesus’ healing power to those with troubling pain and infirmitites.  Many were prayed for and felt the alleviation from back and hip pain as well as headaches.  The meal (Click here to continue reading)

The night’s service fed both body and spirit!  The night began with acoustic worship that set the stage for a wonderful evening where hearts were touched.  We fed 74 guests with hot, nutritious meals consisting of a homemade Greek stew with fresh vegtables, bread, jello with fruit and coffee and juice.  After the music, a powerful Gospel service based on Psalms 91 was presented and people were touched raising their hands and surrendering.  One of our guests joined in worship and several people asked for prayer after the service.  We handed out blankets, hygiene products and special presents for our much appreciated volunteers.  Many guests came in depressed and weary, yet left full and happy with hope.  The evening offered a much needed respite from the struggle of living on the street, and relief for the working class that are struggling to make ends meet.  We are seeing more and more working class families at our feeding services, and it is our pleasure to meet the comm (Click here to continue reading)
